Company description

The company started operations on June 2 , 1995 , as Brasil Transair - Transportes Turismo Turismo . In 2001 , it acquired the status of regular operating company. In November of that year, LAN Airlines became shareholder of ABSA, which maintained close ties of cooperation with the members of their strategic alliance, as LAN Cargo and MasAir (airline cargo, based in Mexico Cityand which LAN owns 40% of the shares). ABSA started operations in June 1995, transporting cargo from Campinas to Manaus and points in South, North and Central America.
