The firm's assets are concentrated in property, renewable power generation, infrastructure and private equity. The company operates high-quality, long-life assets that generate stable cash flows, require relatively minimal maintenance capital expenditures, and, by barriers to entry and other characteristics, tend to appreciate over time. The current business consists of owning and operating premier utilities, transport and energy assets in North and South America, Australasia, and Europe. Brookfield Infrastructure also seeks acquisition opportunities in other infrastructure sectors with similar attributes.
