Dalkia was created in 1998 with the merger of Esys-Montenay and Compagnie Générale de Chauffe. Is an energy service company that offers management and maintenance services to operators of industrial production sites, public utilities, offices and hospitals.

The company's activities involve energy infrastructure operation, the design and management of high-efficiency systems, and energy consumption management.

With 49,800 employees in 35 countries Dalkia is a subsidiary of Veolia Environnement (66%) and Électricité de France (34%). In 2009, Dalkia's turnover was listed as €8.14 billion, with 52,577 employees around the world.
