SFTRF is a mixed-economy public limited company (SAEM) primarily owned by the French State, established to manage and operate two critical Alpine transport infrastructures: the Fréjus Road Tunnel (12.87 km) and the A43 Maurienne Motorway (67.46 km) connecting France and Italy, under a state concession agreement.
