ANI releases shortlists for Cartagena-Barranquilla and Cundinamarca bypass

In early July 2013 the Colombian Infrastructure Unit, ANI, shortlisted ten candidates for each, the Loboguerrero - Mulaló highway concession and the Honda - girardot - Puerto Salgar highway concession. These two projects represent the first two big PPP projects tendered in Colombia of the so called 4G Concessions Program.

Yesterday, the ANI  announced the shortlists for two other road PPP projects parto of the mentioned Program. See below more information about these two projects:

East Cundinamarca bypass concession: Public-private partnership consisting of the design, construction, financing, operation and reversing the East Cundinamarca bypass.

The fundamental purpose of the Project is to develop and promote a north-south arterial road in the eastern sector of Bogotá in order to propose an alternative for mobility in this geographical location.

The total investment for the project will  be US$779 million. The term of the concession contract will be 22 years.

The ten consortia qualified for the next phase of the tender process is the following:

  • Mario Alberto Huertas Cotes - Constructora MECO SA Sucursal Colombia - [Mario Alberto Huertas C. (75%) and Constructura Meco S.A. (25 %)]
  • OHL Concesiones - [OHL Concesiones Colombia S.A.S.(60 %) and OHL Concesiones Chile S.A (40 %)]
  • Impregilo SPA-Salini SPA - [Impregilo SPA (50 %) and Salini SPA (50 %)]
  • Hidalgo e Hidalgo SA Sucursal Colombia, Construcción y Administración SA- [Hidalgo e Hidalgo S.A. Sucursal Colombia (50 %), Construcción y Administración S.A. - CASA (35 %), Hidalgo e Hidalgo Colombia S.A.S. (15 %)]
  • Infraestructura Vial de Colombia - [CSS Constructores SA (40 %) Controladora de Operaciones de Infraestructura S.A. de CV (35 %), Alca Ingeniería S.A.S. (10 %) and Latinoamericana de Construcciones S.A (20 %)]

Cartagena - Barranquilla corridor concession : Public-private partnership consisting of the design, construction, financing, operation and improvement the Cartagena - Barranquilla corridor.

The project is divided in two sections:

  • First section located in the route 90 A (Cartagena - Barranquilla). Between the departments of Bolívar and Atlántico, the highway will have a length of around 110 km.
  • Second section includes the construction of a dual carriageway with a length of about 37 km, between the municipalities of Malambo and Puerto Colombia.

The total investment for the project will be US$844 million. The term of the concession contract will be 26 years.

The ten consortia qualified for the next phase of the tender process is the following:

  • OHL Concesiones - [OHL Concesiones Colombia S.A.S.(60 %) and OHL Concesiones Chile S.A (40 %)]

  • Estructura Plural Ruta del caribe - [SP Ingenieros SA (20 %), Explanan SA (2.5 %), Ingenierías y Vias SAS (2.5 %), Coninsa Ramón H SA (5 %), Procopal SA (5 %), Cointer Concesiones SL (20 %), Construcciones Rubau Sucursal Colombia (20 %) and Synohydro Group Ltd (25 %)]

The ANI also announced yesterday that shortlists for the five concessions of the "Autopistas de la Prosperidad" will be announced in early August.
