Dentons hires legal PPP expert in Poland

Tomasz Korczy?ski has joined the energy and natural resources team in Dentons' Warsaw office where, as counsel, he will co-manage the public-private partnership practice. Tomasz moved from Wierzbowski Eversheds where he had been for 14 years, recently as head of the PPP team.

Tomasz is recognized as a leading expert practitioner in the field of PPP in Poland. He successfully acted for public and private parties on infrastructure projects. He has over a dozen years' experience in providing legal assistance to Polish and foreign clients.

Tomasz Korczy?ski is a legal advisor at the Centrum PPP foundation and served as an expert for the Parliamentary Commission "Przyjazne Pa?stwo" [Friendly Government] charged with cutting red tape in respect of amendments to the PPP Act.

Tomasz co-authored a book "Koncesja na roboty budowlane lub us?ugi a inne formy realizacji inwestycji publiczno-prywatnych" [Concession on construction works or services vs other forms of delivering PPP investments] (Wolters Kluwer, 2009) and is an author of a number of publications and articles on public-private partnership. He often speaks at conferences and courses on PPP both in Poland and abroad and for the last four years he has been a lecturer at the Warsaw School of Economics.

Tomasz Korczy?ski is an attorney-at-law, serving for a second term as Deputy Member of the Regional Bar Council in Warsaw. He is a Warsaw University graduate (Master of Laws). Tomasz also did postgraduate studies on public procurement and corporate law at the Warsaw School of Economics and is a graduate of the prestigious Institute for Leadership and Management (ILM Diploma, Level 7), his thesis being on PPP project management.
