Egypt launches tender for marina PPP

The Red Sea Ports Authority (RSPA), a subsidiary of Egypt's ministry of transportation, has launched a tender process for the development of a yachts marina and logistics area at Sharm el-Sheikh sea port through a PPP project.

The project will be developed on 66,700 m² of land on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis.

The port is located in Sharm el-Sheikh city, which is situated on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, in South Sinai Governorate, Egypt, on the coastal strip along the Red Sea.

Interested parties must submit theirs proposals on or before 30 November 2014.

In early April this year we reported that the RSPA launched other two other PPP projects:

  • the Safaga Port project that involves constructing, operating, managing, maintaining, and redelivering a marine Jetty and a container terminal in the port of Safaga on a land area of 220.000m; and
  • the Eltoor Port project that nvolves constructing, operating, managing, maintaining, and redelivering a marine jetty and the multi-purpose terminal in the port of Eltoor on a land area of 220.000m.
