Eiffage closes financing for Lyon student residence

Eiffage has closed project financing to develop a student residence public private partnership (PPP) project for the Lyon University in the Blandan site, France.

The total project investment is estimated at €13.5 million (US$14.9 million). Project financing includes a €9.5 million (US$10.5 million) deb loan with a tenor of 35 years. The loan has been provided by Caisse des Depots et Consignations (CDC). The loan was priced at Livret A + 1,11%.

Lyon University has been advised by C5P (financial advisor), CMS Lefebvre (legal advisor), EGIS (technical advisor), and Cabinet Clement et Associes.

The project involves the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance (DBFOM) of a 226 room student residence. The concession contract has a period of 40 years.

In April 2016, we reported that Eiffage signed with Meridiam Infrastructure a disposal agreement regarding its 36% interest (shares and shareholders’ loans) in Norscut, the concession company of the A24 motorway in Portugal.
