Four teams submit bids for East Cundinamarca bypass concession

Colombia's Infrastructure Unit, ANI, has announced that it has received four bids for the East Cundinamarca bypass concession project.

The four consortia that bid for the PPP road project are the following:

  • Estructura plural OHL Concesiones - [OHL Concesiones Colombia S.A.S.(60 %) and OHL Concesiones España S.A (40 %)].
  • Auutopistas Perimetral del Cundinamarca SPV - [KMA Construcciones S.A. (25%), OrtÁz Construcciones y Proyectos S.A (25 %), Valores y Contratos (25%) and Equipo Universal S.A. (25 %)].
  • Infraestructura Vial de Colombia - [CSS Constructores SA (40 %) Controladora de Operaciones de Infraestructura S.A. de CV (35 %), Alca Ingeniería S.A.S. (5 %), Estyma (10%) and Latinoamericana de Construcciones S.A (10 %)].
  • Estructura plural Shikun and Binui - Grodco - [Shikun & Binui Concesiones AG (37.05 %),Colombiana de inversiones (37.05) and CI Grodco S en CA Ingenieros Civiles (25 %)].

The Public-private partnership contract consists of the design, construction, financing, operation, maintenance and reversing the East Cundinamarca bypass. The total investment for the project will  be US$831 million. The term of the concession contract will be 22 years.

The fundamental purpose of the project is to develop and promote a north-south arterial road in the eastern sector of Bogotá in order to propose an alternative for mobility in this geographical location.

ANI also recently announced that it received two bids for the Pacific Connection highway concession 3 (Autopistas de la Prosperidad), two bids for Pacific Connection highway concession 1 and three bids for the Cartagena - Barranquilla corridor concession.

On 22 May 2014, ANI awarded the Pacific Connection highway concession 2 to a consortium led by Grupo Odinsa S.A. after being the sole bidder for the project.
