Pakistan seeks consultants for rail feasibility study

Pakistan Railway (PR) has launched a request for proposals to provide consultancy services for the feasibility study of the new rail Link from Islamabad to Murree and Muzaffarabad.

The feasibility study will involve the analysis of potential options of financing the project with private sources.

The consultants will study a minimum three possible routes for the proposed new rail link.

The approximate distance from Islamabad to Murree is about 60 Km and from Murree to Muzaffarabad is 47 Km.

A first pre-bid conference will be held at PR Headquarters, Lahore, on May 7 while a second conference will be organised at Ministry of Railways, Islamabad, on May 23.

Interested parties must submit their proposals on or before 31 May 2014.
