Parana to study feasibility of image diagnostics PPP

The Brazilian State of Paraná has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) to carry out feasibility studies for an image diagnostic PPP project.

The project was proposed by Philips do Brasil Ltda in the last quarter of 2015. The company has already been authorized to develop technical, economic, financial and legal studies to carry out the project under the PPP model. Other companies can now submit their proposals to conduct the studies.

The objective is to provide image diagnostic services in the state health service networkDiagnostic imaging refers to technology that looks inside the body to help determine the causes of an injury or illness and ensure that a diagnosis is accurate. It focuses upon creating images of the body, its organs, and other internal structures.

Interested parties must submit their expression of interest (EOIs) on or before March 12, 2016.

This is the third PPP project with such an object in Brazil. Bahia signed in early 2015 a PPP project to support diagnostic imaging in the state health service network. This project was supported by the BNDES and the IFC.

Later in November, the state of Rio de Janeiro announced plans to carry out feasibility studies for the development of a image diagnostic PPP project.
