Preferred bidder selected for Saskatchewan schools PPP project

The Government of Saskatchewan (Canada) has selected Joint Use Mutual Partnership (JUMP) to develop a bundle of three schools in Regina through a PPP project.

JUMP is a consortium composed of:

The three schools will be located in the Harbor Landing, Greens on Gardiner, and Skywood neighborhoods. The new facilities will have the capacity to accommodate up to 3,000 students from pre-kindergarten to 8th Grade. Additionally, each school will have a care center for up to 90 children.

The schools will be built using a design-build-finance-maintain P3 model.

Construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2015 and be completed before the start of the school year in September 2017.

In August 2014, the province launched the request for qualifications (RFQ) for the project along with a bundle of six schools: one in Martensville, four in Saskatoon, and one in Warman.
