Surrey launches RFQ for Sport Arena P3

The city of Surrey, Canada, has launched a request for qualifications (RfQ) to develop a Spectator Sport and Entertainment Facility through a PPP project.

The City is prepared to provide a suitable city-owned site to carry out the project. A portion of this site is identified as the future location of two community ice rinks and supporting infrastructure.

The plan is to have the Spectator Facility on the same site but operated independently with perhaps a shared parking area. Potentially a subdivision will be required to designate the separate sites and functions of the two adjacent facilities.

The project will be developed on a design, build, finance and operation (DBFO) basis.

Interested parties must submit their qualification documents on or before 4 September 2015.

Surrey is a city in the province of British Columbia, Canada. It is a member municipality of Metro Vancouver, the governing body of the Greater Vancouver Regional District. It is the largest city by area in the Greater Vancouver.
