Two bids submitted for Colombia highway concession

Colombia's National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has received two bids for the Santa Ana - Mocoa - Neiva motorway PPP project.

The two teams that have bid for the project are the following:

  • Concesionaria Vías del Desarrollo 4: China Gezhouba Group Company Lmtd (25 %), Benton (25 %), Solarte Nacional de Construcciones (12,5 %); SP Ingenieros (12,5%), Pavimentar (12,5%), and Construcciones Rubau Sucursal Colombia (12,5%).
  • Infraestructura Vial para Colombia: Controladora de Operaciones de Infraestructura S.A  de CV (35 %), Cass Constructores y Cia (20%), Carlos Alberto Solarte Solarte (20 %), Estyma (10%), Latinoamericana de Construcciones (10 %) and ALCA Ingeniería (5 %)

The project is scheduled to be awarded on 9 June 2015. Construction works are expected to take 4 years to be finished.

The project involves the development of 22 km of four-lane highway, 32 km of two-lane highway and the upgrade of a stretch of 422 km road. The project includes the development of 3 tunnels and 3.5 km of several bridges, among others.

The total project investment is estimated at P$1.5 billion (US$620.8 million).

The project is part of the second wave of concessions of the 4G highway plan. This second phase will involve a total of 9 projects and require US$14.2 billion.
