Vitoria hires consultant for street lighting PPP

The Municipality of Vitória, Brazil, has hired Instituto Brasileiro de Engenharia e Custos (IBEC) to review the feasibility studies of the Vitória city street lighting PPP project.

The contract includes the provision of advisory services in the review and validation of the definitive studies of the Vitória city street lighting PPP project. The contract value is estimated at R$566,432 (US$180,053).

The companies that submitted feasibility studies for the project are the following: Concremat Engineering; Concremat Engenharia; Consórcio Diefra/M2M Telemetria/Ultra Engenharia; Engeluz Iluminação e Eletricidade; GE Iluminação e Citeluz Serviços; Telefônica Data; Telefônica Brasil; Vitória Luz Construções.

Last month the Municipality of Sao Paulo suspended the tender process for the Sao Paulo Street lighting public private partnership (PPP) project due to the fact that several companies requested clarification regarding the tender documents. The preferred bidder would have to modernize, streamline, expand and maintain the street lighting infrastructure of the city.
