Zambia launches tender for tourism PPP project

The Government of the Republic of Zambia, though the Mulungushi Village Complex Limited (MVCL), has launched a request for expressions of interest (RFEOI) for the Mulungushi Village Complex PPP project.

Currently, MVCL has 89 four-bedroomed fully furnished luxurious villas, 16 fully furnished luxurious apartments, a central amenities building comprising 7 hotel rooms, offices, restaurant, swimming pool, boardroom, squash and tennis courts. The complex is situated 7 km east from the Lusaka central business area.

MVCL has plans to develop ultra -modern villas and apartments within the village complex on an area covering approximately 18,000 square meters (1.8 hectares) within the complex.

Due to Zambia's economic growth rate in the recent past, the country has experienced an increase in the volume of tourists and business visitors requiring high quality serviced and non- serviced villas and apartments with hotel standards for short term and long term basis.
