10 Bidders interested for Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor’s C5 Contract

Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (HRIDC) has announced that Ten firms have bid to construct 21.14 km Package C-5 of the 121.7 km Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) project in Haryana, India.

This segment of Haryana's inaugural semi-high-speed railway will incorporate a 3.9 km viaduct situated near the Aravalis, to the east of tunnel Package C-4, secured by Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL) in March 2023. The project encompasses an at-grade section and involves the establishment of IMT Sohna Station, Silani Station, and New Pirthala Station. The Dadri-Rewari section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) will intersect with HORC's Package C-5. The Brief Scope of C-5, Composite Contract package in connection with the New BG Double Railway Line of HORC project between stations Prithla and Dhulawat for:

  • Design and Construction of Civil Works (Earthwork, Bridges, Stations and Retaining Walls) from 2.296 km to 12 km & 18 km to 20.942 km;
  • Design & Construction of viaduct from 20.942 km to 24.844 km;
  • Design & Construction of Ballastless track from 20.842 km to 24.844 km; and
  • Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of General Electrical Services from 2.296 km to 12 km and 18 km to 24.844 km.

HRIDC had invited tenders for this package’s construction in November 2023 with a 3-year completion deadline and an undisclosed estimate of INR 11.80 billion (US$ 142 million). The 10 bidders are the following:

  • Dilip Buildcon Ltd. (DBL)
  • H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd. (HGIEL)
  • Kalpataru Projects International Ltd. (KPIL)
  • Larsen and Toubro Ltd. (L&T)
  • Patel Infrastructure Ltd.
  • PNC Infratech Ltd.
  • Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL)
  • Shivalaya Construction Co. Pvt. Ltd.
