Latvia Eiropas Dzelzceļa līnijas, the Rail Baltica national implementing body in Latvia and the winner of the public competition RERE INECO consortium have signed a cooperation agreement for the construction design of 16 regional mobility points.

The Latvian-Spanish consortium, comprising RERE GRUPA and INECO, will develop the construction designs by 2024, as well as will conduct supervision until the commissioning of the buildings.

The construction of regional large, medium, and small mobility points will combine various types of transport, which are railway, state and municipal buses, personal vehicles and electric vehicles, scooters, bicycles and other micromobility devices. The near-zero-emissions station designs are traditional vertical building designs in the Baltic States, so they will have glass facades and wood paneling as wall cladding. The design of stations includes the improvement of the territory near the station for the use of a functionally planned and convenient in-use and landscaped outdoor space.

The construction of 16 regional mobility points will launch Rail Baltica regional trains, improving customers' ability to commute to work from farther distances.
