6 bids for Biooceanic Road Corridor (Section 3) PY15 Route

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) has received offers from six construction firms interested in executing the third phase of works on route PY15 (Bioceanic Corridor), section Mariscal Estigarribia - Pozo Hondo and accesses to Mariscal Estigarribia, Department of Anchovy, Paraguay.

The bidders are as follows: Northern Chaqueño Consortium (LT S.A. – Heisecke Construction S.A. – Benito Roggio and Sons S.A.), who nominated an amount of PYG2,5 trillion (US$359 million) for 1,2,3 and 4 lots, TCR Consortium (Ingeniería de Topografía y Caminos S.A. – Constructora Isacio Vallejos S.A. – Rovella Carranza S.A. Paraguay Branch) with PYG1,8 trillion (US$260 million) for 2,3 and 4 lots and Avanza Chaco Consortium (Tecnoedil S.A. Constructora – Construpar S.A. – Ocho A S.A.) with PYG2,545,987,086.5. (US$356 million) for 4 lot. 

CDD Construcciones S.A. requests for Lot 3 the amount of PYG464 billion (US$65 million), the TEC Consortium (Tocsa S.A. – Ecomipa S.A. – Concret-Mix S.A.) an investment of PYG2,5 trillion (US$359 million) for the 4 lots, to finally close with the offer of the Consorcio del Pacífico (Enrique Edgardo Diaz Benza Cano – Vial Agro S.A.) that approached its proposal for lots 1 and 2 with PYG907 billion (US$127 million).

The tender provides for the development of the final technical design of the work, which was divided into four lots with a total length of about 220 km. The project is financed by Plata Basin Financial Development Fund (FONPLATA). The National Directorate of Public Procurement (DNCP) reject a protest presented by Constructora Asunción S.A. against the Tender Specifications and Conditions.
