The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) of Lao PDR has invited bids for the construction and completion of a water supply system in Longxan District, Xaisomboun Province, under the ADB-financed Loan 4511-LAO: Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Sector Project.

The Works cover Water Supply – Longxan District, Xaisomboun Province, ten villages: Khonevath, Hinxo, Phoupaman, Phonemouang, Xamkhon, Phonelao, Vangluang, Naxai, Phonexai, and Nam Khoui villages, and include the following key components:

• Construction of water intake structures;
• Installation of raw water transmission pipelines about 5.7 km and treated water distribution pipelines about 120 km;
• Construction of foundations for water treatment plant facilities (3500 m3/day), including associated buildings and ancillary structures;
• Provision and installation of household water connections (2650 sets); and
• Execution of all related civil, mechanical, and electrical works necessary for the complete and functional operation of the system.
• The supply and installation of the Compact Water Treatment Plant (WTP) System are not included in the scope of this Contract and will be procured under a separate contract.
