Advisors appointed for Bahrain urban rail PPP

The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications of Bahrain has appointed a team led by KPMG to provide financial, technical, and legal consultancy for the construction of the Bahrain Metro. The ministry is seeking private partner to build the 109 km long urban rail network in the Kingdom.

The project will be implemented in different phases. Phase 1 consists of 28.6 km of urban rail with 20 stations and 2 interchanges, which will connect Bahrain International Airport with major residential areas, commercial areas, and school districts in Bahrain.
