The National Waterway Transport Agency (ANTAQ) has approved the opening of a public hearing and consultation within the scope of the concession process for an area located in the Port of Itajaí/SC in Brazil.

The stages of social participation come before the competition and are designed to gather contributions, subsidies, and suggestions aimed at enhancing the technical and legal documents associated with the bidding process.

This concession project for the Port of Itajaí/SC area refers to an arrangement or agreement where a private entity is granted the right to operate and manage activities in the specified port area. This often involves the private entity taking on responsibilities such as maintenance, development, and commercial operations within the Port of Itajaí/SC, subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the concession agreement. The objective is typically to enhance efficiency, promote investment, and stimulate economic development in the port region.
