Investment manager Pátria has won a federal highway concession for Lot 1 of the Paraná highways in Brazil.

Lot 1 constitutes the sixth agreement within the sector and represents Pátria's inaugural partnership with the federal government. Pátria has proposed a substantial 18.25% reduction from the uppermost toll amount for the highways. This package encompasses 473 km of both federal and state highways situated within the southern region of Brazil. As part of this concession, Pátria is committed to infusing BRL8 billion (US$1.64 billion) into road infrastructure over the course of a 30-year span.

This project is part of the Paraná highways concession, encompassing 3,368 km of roads divided into 6 lots. LOT 1 comprises BR-277, BR-373, BR-376, BR-476, PR-418, PR-423, and PR-427 highways in Parana state. The project involves constructing 343 km of dual carriageway, adding 81 km of lanes, 38 km of third lanes, 36 km of side roads, 9 overpasses, and 145 OAEs and intersections. It also includes implementing LED lighting, Wi-Fi, and emergency call systems along the entire highway length for enhanced safety measures.
