The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) and the City of Canoas have signed a contract for the evaluation and structuring of the public lighting concession in Brazil.

The scope of works involves the structuring of public lighting projects with around 35,000 light points. BNDES will have the specialized technical consultancy of the consortia Houer/M Viana IP400 and Accenture and of M&P Sociedade de Advogados. BNDES will also be responsible for coordinating and integrating the work with the consultants and contracted service providers

During the first stage, a comparative analysis of investment scenarios will be elaborated, which will define the most adequate model for this project, in addition to the production of a technical diagnosis report. The second phase involves services related to the modeling of the project, such as support for public consultation activities, preparation of public notices and preparation of the bid for the signing of the contract between the City of Canoas and the winner of the auction.
