California State University issues RFQ for student union

California State University seeks statements of qualifications (SOQ) from interest and qualified bidders to design and construct new student union project.

This design and construction project includes the development of 80,000 GSF student union. Approximately 63,000 ASF Student Union will include lounge spaces, meeting rooms for student clubs and organizations, campus retail services and program spaces, as well as offices for professional staff. This project will also include a 400-seat auditorium for Dog Days orientations, student convocation, speakers, and other large events designed to promote and enhance student success.

The contracting authority will conduct a concept level design two-step competition process that will limit the final Design-Build project competitors to three (3) Design-Build teams. 

The project is wholly funded by the Associated Students, Inc. (ASI). Pre-construction and construction will be managed by the office of Planning Design and Construction (PDC) at the California State University, Fresno campus who will oversee the selection of the design-build team through the RFQ/RFP process.
