The Government of Cabo Verde has announced the cancellation of the international tender for the sub-concession of the main ports of Cabo Verde. 

In 2015, the previous government has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) for the main ports of Mindelo, Praia, Boavista and Palmeira. However, the Minister of Finance explains that the sub-concession model for the main ports no longer meets the requirements of the new strategic vision for the sector defined by the new government.

Under the previous government, the Bolloré Group was the only company to submit a technical and financial proposal for the sub-concession of the first block that includes the ports of Praia and Mindelo. However, no proposal was submitted for the Sal and Boa Vista ports block.
