The Minister of Public Works, the regional presidential delegate of Maule, the regional secretary of Health, and the mayor of Parral, visited the construction works of the Parral hospital, part of the Red Maule Concession.

The hospital network is advancing steadily across all three sites, with construction now 95% complete at Cauquenes Hospital, 93% at Parral Hospital, and 86% at Constitución Hospital. The project represents a total investment of USD 303 million, including USD 98 million allocated specifically for the Parral facility. Once completed, the network will expand public healthcare capacity by adding 368 new hospital beds, comprising 136 in Cauquenes, 121 in Parral, and 111 in Constitución.

The three hospitals under the Maule Network will be transferred to the Ministry of Health during 2026 for equipment installation and phased commissioning, with full operations expected by 2027, providing the region with three modern, high-standard healthcare facilities. This progress builds on earlier improvements, including the upgrading of Curicó Hospital to modern standards in 2022, the start of construction on the Oncology Center at the Maule Regional Hospital in 2023 alongside major renovations to the existing regional facility, and the planned groundbreaking of the Licantén Hospital in the coming weeks.
