The Anillo Vial Concession Company and PROINVERSIÓN finalized the acquisition of three properties located in the Cahuide informal settlement in the Independencia District, belonging to Section II of the Anillo Vial Periférico project.

The acquisition was carried out using a new management mechanism that includes a reimbursement system known as CALP (Certificate of Progress in Land Release). Under this system, the concessionaire company directly finances the purchase of the properties, helping speed up the process and easing the administrative workload on the State. This mechanism is being used for the first time in Peru within a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contract, enhancing families’ confidence and providing greater certainty for the project’s progress.

The Lima Ring Road project will improve connectivity between Lima and Callao, benefiting more than 4.5 million people by linking 11 districts of Metropolitan Lima and one district of Callao. It includes the design, financing, construction, management, and maintenance of a 34.8 km toll highway. This project will reduce traffic and travel times by an average of 30 to 40 minutes, promoting urban mobility, road safety, and the region's economic development.

The Anillo Vial Concession Company stated that the project will significantly enhance traffic flow across the metropolitan area, improving travel efficiency and easing the congestion that currently impacts millions of people in Lima and Callao. The project is also advancing through the preparation of engineering designs and environmental impact assessments, in accordance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements. The concessionaire is a consortium formed by major international highway operators, including Ferrovial, through its subsidiary Cintra, which holds a 35% share, as well as Sacyr and ACCIONA, each holding a 32.5% stake.
