China Everbright Water to build Nanjing Industrial Waste Water Project Phase II

China Everbright Water, a unit of China Everbright International, has signed a supplementary agreement with the Nanjing Pukou Economic Development Zone Administration Committee about a concession contract that relates to Nanjing Pukou Industrial Waste Water Treatment Project in Jiangsu Province of China. 

The company in which Everbright Industrial Waste Water Treatment Nanjing holds a 60% equity stake will finance, build, and operate the Nanjing Industrial Waste Water Project Phase II on a BOT (build-operate-transfer) model.

Phase II, which represents an investment of CNY859m (US$124.3 million), consists of an industrial wastewater treatment project and a reusable water project. It will have a total daily industrial wastewater treatment capacity of 50,000m3. This capacity includes 40,000 m3 for electronics wastewater and 10,000 m3 for effluent from the Project Phase I. The discharged water will be in compliance with the environmental quality standards for surface water (GB3838-2002) under Category IV.
