Concession granted for 300 MW Hanaqpampa solar power plant in Moquegua

Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) has granted Engie Energía Perú, the definitive concession to build the 300 MW Hanaqpampa solar power plant in El Algarrobal, Ilo, Peru.

Engie is responsible to do feasibility studies which include a construction timetable, budget, environmental approval and a guarantee to execute works. There were 10 definitive solar concessions totaling 1,768 MW granted when the concession for Hanaqpampa was granted. They were Milagros (60MW), Illa (385MW), Misti (300MW), San Martn (252MW), Solimana (250MW), Sunny (204MW), Clemes (116MW), Chachani (100MW), Matarani (80MW) and Solimana (20MW). Another three solar projects hold temporary concessions: Santa Isabel (200MW), Sol de Talara (200MW) and Sunilo (120MW).
