Construction work start for Coronel Oviedo hospital PPP project in Caaguazu

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications has announced that the construction work for the Great Hospital of Coronel Oviedo has commenced. Located in Caaguazu, the hospital PPP project has a capacity of 180 beds. 

The consortium formed by Jiménez Gaona y Lima SA – Itasa SA – Proel Engineering is in charge of the works. The construction advances at a rate of 500 m2 of slab structure per week. So far, 1,300 m2 have been completed. The construction of the Coronel Oviedo Hospital will be carried out in two phases: 

  • The first phase, currently underway, corresponds to the "Design and Construction of the Coronel Oviedo Hospital" and is in charge of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC);
  • The second phase, concerning the equipment and its commissioning and maintenance, will be in charge of the health portfolio.
