Consultant sought for raw water collection channel and distribution network rehabilitation project in Mocuba

Mozambique’s Water Supply Investment and Heritage Fund has invited consulting firms to express interest in the rehabilitation of the raw water collection channel and distribution network in Mocuba. 

The primary focus of the consultancy involves the development of detailed project plans and overseeing the implementation of various initiatives in Quelimane and Mocuba. This encompasses:

A. Preparation of executive project and tender documents for:

  1. Rehabilitating the old catchment, involving the construction of a raw water collection channel and dam to preserve water during the dry season in Mocuba.
  2. Revamping the new catchment in Mocuba.
  3. Replacement of approximately 1.5 km of pipelines across the Domela River, including DN 350 and DN 500 in Quelimane.

B. Supervising the works of:

  1. Replacing around 1.5 km of pipelines over the Domela River (DN 350 and DN 500) and associated civil support infrastructure in Quelimane.
  2. Constructing three boreholes, including installing the corresponding electric pumps in Quelimane.
  3. Rehabilitating the old catchment, involving the construction of a raw water collection channel and dam to preserve water during the dry season in Mocuba.
  4. Revamping the new catchment in Mocuba.
  5. Rehabilitating approximately 8 km and 15 km of the distribution network in Quelimane and Mocuba, respectively.
