Consulting firms appeared to supervise works for PY12 route in Paraguay

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications has announced that 5 consulting firms appeared to supervise the last batch of works for the PY12 route in Paraguay. 

The firms competing in the tender are the TYPSA-All-R12 Consortium from Spain, the Paraguayan firm Electropar Ingenieros Consultores SRL, the Elcinc Consortium, the RG Consortium, and the Triangulo Consortium. These firms are vying for the opportunity to provide consulting services for the inspection, fitting out, and maintenance works of Block 4, specifically the section crossing Nanawa - Gral. Bruguez and its associated accesses (PY12). 

  • Lot 1: The TEC Consortium, composed of TOCSA SA, ECOMIPA SA, and Concrete Mix SA, will handle this section of the project. It spans from km 2.5 to km 37.4 and includes improving access to Nanawa.
  • Lot 2: Avanza Chaco (Construpar SA - Tecnoedil SA Constructora - Ocho A SA) has been assigned this lot, which covers the stretch from km 37.4 to km 80.2.
  • Lot 3: The Chaco Road Consortium is responsible for executing the works in this lot, which extends from km 80.2 to km 122.2, including access to the Ninfa community.
  • Lot 4: The South Chaco Consortium (MM SA - Tecnología del Sur SAE - Proel Ingeniería de Augusto Ortellado Narváez - Compañía de Construcciones Civiles SA) will undertake the construction in this lot, which spans from km 38 to km 160 and includes the access to the district of General Bruguez.

The entire selection and hiring process will be conducted in accordance with the consultant selection and hiring policies of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the project's financing entity.
