Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Metrolinx have awarded a fixed-price contract of CAD1.4 billion (US$10.17 billion) to North End Connectors to design, build and finance the advanced tunnelling project for the Yonge North Subway Extension. The twin 6.3 Km tunnels will run from Finch Station on TTC Line 1 to south of Langstaff Road in Markham, where the extension will shift to a surface-level segment.
