Four bidders shortlisted for bridge PPP project in USA

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has shortlisted four private companies and invited them to submit proposals for delivering the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge Replacement project in Calcasieu Parish, USA. The pre-selected teams are the following:

  • Calcasieu Bridge Partners- Equity Members: Plenary Americas US Holdings, Inc., Aecon Infrastructure Development, Inc., Acciona Concesiones S.L.; Design-Build Contractor: Aecon Infrastructure Development, Inc. and ACCIONA Construction USA Corp; Lead Designer: Huval & Associates, Inc., Janssen & Spaans Engineering, Inc. and Modjeski & Masters, Inc.; Toll Operator: Kapsch TrafficCom USA, Inc.
  • Calcasieu Connectors Group- Equity Members: ACS Infrastructure Development, Inc., Macquarie Infrastructure Developments LLC and John Laing Limited; Design-Build Contractor: Dragados USA, Inc.; Lead Designer: Systra International Bridge Technologies Inc.; Toll Operator: Calcasieu Connectors Group. 
  • I X Bridge Group- Equity Members: Itinera Infrastructure and Concessions Inc., DIF Infra 6 US HoldCo 4 LLC and BCP Infrastructure Fund, LP and BCP Infrastructure Fund-A, LP; Design-Build Contractor: Halmar International, LLC; Lead Designer: Volkert, Inc.; Toll Operator: Itinera Infrastructure and Concessions Inc. and American Roads, LLC.
  • I-10 Calcasieu Mobility Partners LLC- Equity Members: Cintra Global SE, VINCI Concessions Investments USA Inc., Meridiam I-10 Calcasieu, LLC; Design-Build Contactor: Bayou Contractors (members: Ferrovial Construction US Corp. and VINCI Construction LLC); Lead Designer: Parsons Transportation Group Inc.; Toll Operator: I-10 Calcasieu Mobility Partners LLC

The project will extend from the I-10/I-210 west interchange to the Ryan Street exit ramp on the east side of the bridge, reconstruct the Calcasieu River Bridge and the interstate mainline, as well as improve and reconfigure a segment of LA 378 from I-10 to Sulphur Avenue. The selected partner will be responsible for the design, construction, financing, as well as operation and maintenance of the new bridge.
