Globalvia has announced the closure of its acquisition of the 34% stake in Autopista Vespucio Norte and Túnel de San Cristóbal from Brookfield, located in Santiago de Chile.

The agreement for the purchase was reached in September 2021. After the initial agreement, the approvals of the financial entities had to be given for the shareholding change to take place. With this acquisition, the company now owns a total of five assets in Chile, such as Autopista del Itata, Autopista del Aconcagua and Autopista Costa Arauco and two new ones, Autopista Vespucio Norte and Túnel de San Cristóbal.

Vespucio Norte has 17 free flow gantries along its 29 kilometers that serve eight communes in the capital. This highway connects through the 1.8-kilometer Túnel de San Cristóbal with Providencia, Vitacura, Las Condes, Santiago Centro and Ñuñoa. The estimated value of the transaction is EUR340 million (US$401.83 million).
