Homes England has completed the acquisition of 34 hectares of land within the residential allocation known as the South East Warrington Urban Extension (SEWUE) in the North of England.
The acquisition paves the way for the development of up to 4,200 new homes along with essential infrastructure, enabling a significant urban extension in South East Warrington. With this strategic land purchase, Homes England’s total landholding in the SEWUE area now stands at approximately 250 hectares, giving the agency a leading role in delivering the site identified in Warrington Borough Council’s Local Plan. Upon completion, the site will deliver up to 4,200 new homes—30% of which will be affordable—along with a range of community amenities such as schools, parks, local centres with healthcare services, and green spaces designed for the benefit of both current residents and future communities.
