The South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust has announced that it has awarded a 3rd Party Development (3PD) contract for the development of a new Primary and Community Care Centre in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, to the GPG O’Hare consortium.

Comprised of Kajima, GPI and O’Hare & McGovern, GPG O’Hare will deliver a 12,792m2 Centre that will bring together eight GP practices (providers of primary care/family medicine) and other health care services into a single facility for an estimated investment of GBP40 million (US$52.5 million).

The Centre will be jointly funded by GPG O’Hare and Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (NORD/LB).

It is anticipated that construction of the new hub will commence in April 2019, with the building being operational during 2021. Graham Asset Management will undertake the facilities management requirements for the new facility over the contract term.

The 3rd Party Development (3PD) structure is in line with the Ministerial Direction given by the former Health Minister in 2013 aimed to test the unique procurement method of public and private partnership.
