The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) has announced that the technical team recognized the land on which the Cerro San Cristobal cable car project will be carried out in Lima, Peru.

The land for the US$16 million project was recognized after the Peruvian state declared said to project a public necessity and national interest and allowed the acquisition of property from Club Internacional Revolver for its next development.  The project will benefit more than 9 million people in Lima. A declaration of interest for this private initiative is scheduled for Q3 of 2023, with a court ruling in 2024.

The project involves the construction of a 2.8 km cable car with 144 cabins and 3 stations in each direction in Bogotá, Colombia. The project San Cristóbal is one of 7 cable cars included in the 2022-35 land management plan and is expected to take 30 months to complete. With an expected travel duration of 10 minutes, the cable car can carry up to 4,000 passengers each hour.
