Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority in Los Angeles, USA has organized an Industry day on August 15, 2019 for the Sepulveda Transit Corridor project. The authority is ready to launch the Predevelopment Agreement in the fall of 2019. Thus authority is planning to acquaint the contractors with the new contracting approach taken and to help them to participate in the unique endeavor. Metro executive staff will be available to present information and answer questions about the Sepulveda Transit Corridor, the anticipated PDA, and the planned procurement.

The metro is utilizing a Predevelopment Agreement, a form of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) for the implementation of this project. The staff will outline the project, this unique project development and delivery model, and details about the anticipated procurement.

This project will improve the travel connection between the San Fernando Valley, the Westside and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with the construction of a high-quality transit connection. The authority is currently finalizing a Feasibility Study evaluating a range of high-capacity transit alternatives facilities. The 13-mile stretch of the freeway, from Getty Center Drive, the core of the Sepulveda Pass, to the I-105, was recently ranked as the third most congested freeway segment in the United States.
