Community infrastructure investor, developer and operator Pariter has launched a joint retirement community venture with Cumberland Country Golf Club.
Pariter, a fully owned division of Plenary, focuses on developing and managing community infrastructure. The AU$160 million (US$105.7 million) Cumberland project marks a first for Sydney’s southwest, offering a distinctive golf course setting alongside a wellness centre for residents. Positioned in a high-demand area, the development is anticipated to generate significant sales interest. It will also feature a comprehensive renovation of the clubhouse and a redesigned 18-hole course, while ensuring minimal disruption for existing members.
The initial 40 homes of the 228-apartment retirement community are now available for purchase, offering two- and three-bedroom units as well as spacious three-bedroom penthouses. The community’s upscale wellness amenities will feature an indoor heated pool, a fitness centre, a salon and barber, allied health treatment rooms, an on-site café with views of the golf course, and an outdoor barbecue area. The new clubhouse will be constructed across three levels, offering modern amenities that include dining options for members and residents. Developments situated on golf courses with extensive green vistas are highly sought after, and opportunities in central Sydney are particularly rare, generating strong interest among buyers. Construction is expected to commence in mid-2026, creating around 190 jobs during the build phase and 80 ongoing roles once operational.
