The Regional Council in North Jutland, Denmark has launched a tender seeking a private partner for the 2nd stage of the construction of a new psychiatric hospital in Hospitalsbyen, Aalborg East. The private partner will undertake design, establishment, operation, and maintenance as well as financing for the project. The new hospital is expected to be ready for use in mid-2025.
Stage 2 involves the construction of a new eating disorder section as well as a hospital school for children and young people in both psychiatry and somatics. The new construction will be approximately 16,000 m². The concession period for the project is 25 years. At the end of the PPP contract in the year 2050, the North Jutland Region will take over the construction at 50% of the construction value.
