Pictet Alternative Advisors has raised USD 1.53 billion for Monte Rosa Co-Investments VI, its sixth private equity co-investment fund, from insurance companies, pension funds, family offices, and private clients across Europe, Asia, and North America, to invest primarily in buyout opportunities in North America and Europe with selective exposure to Asia.

Pictet has secured US$1.53 billion in commitments and has surpassed its original fundraising target of US$1.0 billion. The fund’s oversubscribed close highlights strong investor appetite for private equity co-investment opportunities and reflects confidence in Pictet’s established track record, extensive sourcing network, and expertise in identifying and executing attractive investment opportunities.

Monte Rosa Co-Investments VI is the sixth fund in Pictet’s co-investment platform and the largest vehicle in the series so far, with commitments more than 50% higher than the US$900 million raised for its predecessor, Monte Rosa Co-Investments V, in 2023. The fund is primarily focused on buyout investments, while also pursuing selected growth equity and venture capital opportunities. Capital is expected to be invested over three years, to build a diversified portfolio of around 25 to 30 co-investments across North America and Europe, alongside selective investments in Asia. Approximately 40% of the fund’s committed capital has already been deployed through 14 transactions.

The fund received commitments from a broad and diversified group of investors worldwide, including insurance firms, pension funds, family offices, and private clients across Europe, Asia, and North America. It garnered significant backing from both existing investors and new participants looking to gain greater exposure to co-investment opportunities. Leveraging longstanding relationships with a global network of leading private equity firms, Pictet maintains advisory board positions across many of its buyout partnerships and combines scale, efficient execution capabilities, and extensive investment experience. This strong market position enables the firm to source attractive investment opportunities and construct diversified portfolios spanning sectors such as technology, healthcare, industrials, and consumer industries.

Pictet has been investing in private equity since 1989, with its first co-investment executed in 1992. Over the past 15 years, Pictet has completed more than 210 co-investments, representing US$3.2 billion of invested capital.
