Progress on Northern Corridor Lot 1 construction project in Paraguay

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) has announced the progress of the Lot 1 Northern Corridor construction project in San Pedro, Paraguay.

Everything executed is part of the "Physical Connectivity Project in the Departments of San Pedro and Concepción" which includes 3 Lots:

  • Lot 1, 50 km of the Northern Corridor starting at the Yacaré Ñe'ē intersection, in San Pedro del Ycuamandiyú which connects the San Pedro Agroindustrial Corridor. ECOMIPA, the company is responsible for soil movement, cleaning of the domain strip, placement of embankment, excavations, works of art and the installation of sewers;
  • Lot 2 begins at km 50 and ends at km 88.8, in Belén, Concepción. Consorcio Vial Oriental, the company is responsible for the construction of a 200 m bridge over the Ypané River and access to the Ybapovó port, 17,268 km long; and 
  • Lot 3 starts in Horqueta and goes to Belén (km 24.5) in departmental Route 29, then continues along route PY22 to Concepción at km 43.9, whose construction is carried out by the Construction Company Oh crap.

Once completed, the new route will connect with the San Pedro Agroindustrial Corridor, which is also under construction.
