The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) received proposals from two prequalified bidders to award the concession for the Longitudinal de la Sierra Highway Section 4 in Peru.

The highway is a 965-kilometer road infrastructure that will directly benefit 1.6 million Peruvians in the regions of Junín, Huancavelica, Ica, Ayacucho, and Apurímac.

For the public event of "Presentation of Envelopes No. 2 and No. 3", held at the PROINVERSIÓN facilities, the prequalified bidders Sacyr Concesiones SL and Concesionaria Vial del Centro, made up of Casa y Administración SA and Hidalgo e Hidalgo SA, were present. The acceptance of proposals is an important step for this Longitudinal megaproject of the Los Andes Regional Association, as it will not only boost regional economies by reducing travel times and costs, increasing road safety, strengthening logistics chains, and promoting local trade, tourism, and employment; it will also contribute to improving the quality of life by bringing public services closer to the population in a safe and efficient manner.

This ambitious project will be executed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, with a total estimated investment of US$1.582 billion. Its execution will allow for the rehabilitation, construction, improvement, and maintenance of the road for a period of 25 years, ensuring the sustainability and efficiency of the infrastructure.
