RFP Issued for Mixed-Use Housing & Commercial Development Project in USA

The City of Laramie has invited Requests for Proposals for the North 4th Street Mixed-Use Housing & Commercial Development Project in Wyoming, USA.

The City is looking to collaborate with potential developers, either through the sale of the property or other mutually beneficial agreements, to redevelop this site. The immediate objective is to redevelop the location to address the community's housing and commercial space needs.

Project objectives and outcomes include the following:

  • Generate at least 65 new housing units, emphasizing diverse development types by integrating affordable and/or workforce housing with a variety of unit sizes and styles.
  • The housing mix should comprise studio, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units, ensuring that no single unit type constitutes more than 50% of the development. While four-bedroom units are permissible, they are not mandatory.
  • The ownership mix should encompass both for-sale and lease/rent options.
  • At least 10% of all units should adhere to International Building Code Type B unit requirements (adaptable units), catering to access needs such as physical mobility, blindness, deafness, autism, mental health disabilities, and cognitive disabilities.

The submission deadline for proposals is April 18, 2024. Additional details regarding this tender can be accessed through our Business Opportunity page here.
