Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and CHEO have announced the launch of the request for proposals (RFP) stage for the 1Door4Care: CHEO Integrated Treatment Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

IO and CHEO invited three teams that were shortlisted based on criteria identified in a request for qualifications (RFQ) process that began in March 2022 to respond to an RFP to design, build, and finance the new children´s hospital. The shortlisted teams were ELLISDON INFRASTRUCTURE HEALTHCARE; PCL PARTNERSHIPS; POMERLEAU INC.

The teams will now start working on proposals that outline how they will carry out the project. Following receipt of submissions, Infrastructure Ontario and CHEO will assess the ideas, choose a preferred team, and then negotiate a formal agreement. An announcement of the winning bidder is anticipated for the fall of 2023. An impartial observer will supervise the whole procurement procedure.
