RFP launched for High-speed broadband PPP project in USA

The Highlands County has issued a request for proposal (RFP) seeking a public or private partner for the development and implementation of High speed broadband PPP project in Highlands County, Sebring, Florida, USA.

The project involves the designing, building, financing, operation, and management (DBFOM) of an affordable, reliable, and scalable all fiber optic middle mile network to support next generation high speed broadband internet to businesses, residences, and other entities.

The project intends to allow for the expansion of economic development, distance education, telemedicine, smart government applications, digital divide solutions, and other advanced internet and IP based products and solutions. 

The County wll utilize US$4.5 miilion of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to begin this long-term project.
