Sale agreement signed for CODESA privatisation

Companhia Docas do Espirito Santo (CODESA) and the Federal Government of Brazil, coordinated by Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES), have signed a contract for the sale of CODESA shares as part of the privatization process.

The investment fund FIP CODESA becomes the majority shareholder and controller of the company, and new members of the Board of Directors will also be appointed. After the acquisition of shares, it is planned to sign a concession agreement on September 20. The stages of the privatization process were planned in such a way as not to interrupt the operation of ports and terminals.

CODESA is public port with the commercial pier of Vitória, Cais de Capuaba (Vila Velha), Cais de Paul, Terminal Flexibras, Terminal de bulk liquid Torquato, Dolphins of Atalaia, Barra do Riacho, Port of Praia Mole. Codesa is responsible for operational works at Port of Vitória and Barra do Riacho located in Aracruz, North of Espírito Santo.
