Serbia commission clears P&O's Port of Novi Sad offer

The privatization commission of Serbia has cleared and recommended the approval by the Ministry of Economy of the sole offer received from P&O Ports for Novi Sad Port in Belgrade.

P&O Ports has placed the sole bid in the tender for the sale of Luka Novi Sad, a state-owned company operating the Danube river port of Novi Sad. The purchase of 8,151,174 shares of Luka Novi Sad for EUR7.99 million (US$9.1 million) represents 99.37763% of the company's share capital. 

The port of Novi Sad is situated in the northern autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. The port operates in the total area of 45,968 square metres that accommodates 10 indoor warehouses.
